Seasonal Ritual
Late Summer is all about grounding and nourishing from within. We are in the Earth Element. The wild expansion of Summer has come to a close, the mornings feel damper and we reach for an extra layer in the evenings. Here's a few tips to support you through this seasonal transition with ease.
1. Place a drop of Wild Orange in your palm and inhale the sweet scent. This is wonderfully uplifting.
2. Eat YELLOW foods to nourish your Stomach and Spleen energies. Warm foods like soup and porridge are best now.
3. Place Vetiver or Lavender onto acupressure point, Liver 3, to ground. Located on the top of the foot; travel up from the webbing between the big toe and next toe until the metatarsal
4. Watch out for ruminating thoughts which are often present at this time of year. The Earth Element also governs digestion of thoughts: taking something in and turning into something usable. If you have an "overthinking backlog", take a moment to finish digesting and journal it out, and complete any unfinished business.
